Optical tachometer from Model Avionics which can accurately measure main rotor rpm to within + / - 2.5rpm up to a maximum of 3190 rpm and so is ideal for all helis from small electric to large turbine machines.

The unit is "aimed" at the model so the rotor can be seen through the view finder, then the shutter speed is increased / decreased until the rotor blades appear "stationary", the rotor rpm can then be read on the display.

An excellent device for assisting with the perfect set-up !
